Checking Your Work

Every note generated in Beam Notes goes through a routine, automated verification process against the original source material, such as an audio recording or uploaded document.

This is a standard part of note processing and applies to all notes. It does not indicate that there is an issue with your specific file.

What we check

The automated review focuses on high-stakes information where accuracy is particularly important, including:

• Clinical information
• Risk factors
• Safeguarding status

If a discrepancy is identified between the generated summary and the original source material, the system will automatically correct the information before the final note is made available in your dashboard.

What you'll see

Status labels

While your note is processing, you'll see status updates showing the progress of the verification:

• Checking note: The system is verifying the summary against the original source material.
• Updating note: A discrepancy has been identified and the summary is being corrected.
• Checks completed: Verification is complete and your note is ready.

Correction banners

If a correction is made during the verification process, a notification banner will appear at the top of the finalised note explaining that an update was made.

This banner will only appear when a correction has occurred. Most notes will not display one.

What does automated verification apply to?

The automated verification and correction process applies only to generated summaries. It does not alter or edit:

• Original transcripts
• Audio recordings
• Uploaded source documents
