If you have recently recorded a Magic Note and the page appears blank or the note fails to load, this may be due to an issue with your browser's cache or settings. If you are seeing a blank page like the one shown below, your browser's cache may be the cause. This guide will provide steps to help you resolve this issue.
This guide provides steps to resolve this problem for Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge, the two browsers we currently support.
The Problem:
When your browser's cache becomes full or corrupted, it can prevent new content from displaying correctly. Similarly, certain browser settings can interfere with the loading process. Clearing your cache or resetting your browser's settings will often fix the issue.
The Solution:
Follow the steps below for your specific browser.
🟦 Google Chrome
Open Chrome.
Click the three dots ⋮ in the top-right corner.
Go to Settings → Privacy and security → Clear browsing data.
Choose a time range (e.g., All time to delete everything).
Tick:
✅ Cookies and other site data
✅ Cached images and files
Click Clear data.
(Optional: restart Chrome afterward.)
If clearing the cache doesn't work, you can try resetting Chrome's settings:
Click the three dots ⋮ → Settings.
Go to Reset settings (you can type this in the search bar at the top of Settings).
Click Restore settings to their original defaults.
Confirm with Reset settings.
What it does:
Disables extensions (but doesn’t remove them).
Resets homepage, new tab, and search engine.
Keeps your bookmarks, history, and passwords.
For Microsoft Edge
Click the three dots ⋯ in the top-right corner.
Go to Settings → Privacy, search, and services.
Under Clear browsing data, click Choose what to clear.
Select All time and tick:
✅ Cookies and other site data
✅ Cached images and files
Click Clear now.
If clearing the cache doesn't resolve the issue, you can try resetting Edge's settings:
Click the three dots ⋯ → Settings.
Go to Reset settings on the left sidebar.
Click Restore settings to their default values → Reset.
What it does:
Disables extensions.
Resets startup page, new tab, and search engine.
Keeps favorites, history, and saved passwords.
