Folders allow you to categorise your Beam Notes so you can stay organised and find exactly what you need in seconds.
Note: Moving a Beam Note into a folder does not change its data retention period.
1. Accessing Your Folders
To get started, click Folders in the sidebar. From here, you can view your entire directory, search for specific categories, or create a new folder.
2. Managing Existing Folders
Once you select a folder, you can:
Search & Sort: Quickly locate specific Beam Notes within the folder.
Edit: Rename or delete the folder directly from the folder's main page.
3. Creating a New Folder
Ready to organise a new project? Select New Folder on the main Folders page and enter a name to get started.
4. Adding Beam Notes to a Folder
There are three convenient ways to add content to your folders:
Option A: From Within a Folder
Open the desired folder and select Add Source in the top-left corner. You can then:
Move existing notes into the folder.
Record directly inside the folder.
Upload a recording (if available on your plan).
Generate a report (if available on your plan).
Option B: From an Individual Beam Note
While viewing a specific Beam Note, click the + Add icon in the top-left corner to assign that summary to an existing folder.
Option C: From 'My Notes'
From the Home page list, simply click + Add icon in the Folder column on any note and select your destination.
