Saving
When you have completed your recording, remember to click the save button! It's important to do this so that Magic Notes can start generating your summary. When your summary is ready for you to view, you will receive an email notification to state that your Magic Notes is ready.
If you forget to click Save and move away from the Magic Notes page, your Magic Note will not start generating. If you accidentally close the page without saving, when you go back onto the Magic Notes web page, you will be prompted to save the recording you have open. However, it will automatically save your note after 4 hours.
Pausing
Whilst recording, there may be a reason to pause for a number of reasons. It might be that someone just needs to stop - make a cup of tea, etc and it's easy to just pause and unpause when you’re ready to continue.
It might be that the client would like to talk about something without it being recorded. In this instance, you can pause the recording, have a further conversation ‘offline’ and then unpause once the client feels happy to continue.
One other example is at the end of the meeting you might choose to pause, leave the house/finish the meeting and then unpause and add your own thoughts and analysis. This will mean one Magic Note is generated which includes the meeting itself and your own reflections.
Cancel
If you start recording and the resident or participants of the meeting change their mind and decide they do not agree to be recorded, you will see there is a cancel button in the top left hand corner. Pressing this will mean everything that has been recorded so far is permanently deleted and the recording is discarded so you can revert to taking manual notes.
Add More Audio to a Magic Note
If you save and then decide there is more to talk about, or you want to add your own analysis after leaving the meeting, you can use the 'Add More' feature which you will see when viewing your Magic Note.
