How were the languages chosen and tested?
We've started with 20 that were most requested by our early partners. For each of these we did a human language quality assessment evaluation, scoring 96% with no major errors or mistranslations.
How will languages be added?
For new languages, we'll take requests, and when possible repeat this process, so it'll take a couple of weeks’ work to add languages once selected.
What about retention periods and permission?
Interpret recordings operate under the same rules as a normal Note, so retention period is the same, and permission is required.
Is Beam Interpret secure?
Yes. Beam Interpret utilises enterprise-grade AES-256 encryption. Your data is processed entirely securely and is never used to train public AI models without your explicit consent.
Do I still need a traditional human interpreter?
Beam Interpret is ideal for routine visits, assessments, and standard check-ins, significantly reducing the high costs and long wait times associated with traditional translation agencies.
Note: For highly complex legal or medical emergencies, Interpret can be effectively utilised as an immediate stop-gap or alongside human interpreters.
Can I use the app offline?
No. Interpret currently requires an active cellular data or Wi-Fi connection to process live, real-time translations with the highest level of accuracy.
