The Describe a Change bar is getting a major upgrade! Soon, you will see a new Chat box appear on the right side of your screen.
This new Chat function retains all the capabilities of the original Describe a Change bar, but with a powerful bonus: you can now draft separate content directly within the Chat without altering your main summary.
What Can the Chat Do?
When you record or build a Beam Note, you can use the Chat box to perform three main types of actions:
1. Make Changes to Your Summary
You can ask the Chat to edit, refine, or adjust your existing summary instantly.
Example: “Rewrite this from my point of view.”
2. Generate New Content
Need a draft? Use the Chat to create separate documents, letters, or reports based on your note without changing the note itself.
Example: “Write a letter to the child about this meeting. Use language a twelve-year-old would understand.”
3. Ask Questions
Save time by querying your note directly instead of re-reading the entire text.
Example: “What equipment did the patient say they used for mobility?”
