Security and data privacy are extremely important to us. Beam Notes is designed and built for frontline workers, and we know conversations may contain sensitive and confidential information. We’re committed to keeping data private and secure.
For more details, read our Privacy Policy or check our Trust Centre. If you have questions about our security or data processing practices, please reach out to us at support@beam.org
How is the data stored and processed?
As standard, data is stored in the UK and processed in the EEA. All data is encrypted both at rest and in transit to ensure confidentiality.
How long is data stored for?
Your data is automatically deleted according to a client-specific data retention policy. For confirmation of your organisation's exact policy, you can either confirm this internally with your organisation management team or reach out to Beam Notes support via support@beam.org
How do you work with organisations using Beam Notes to ensure data is held securely?
We conduct Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs) for all data processing activities in collaboration with organisations using Beam Notes. Privacy is the default setting, with all Beam Notes data only being available to the user who recorded it.
Who has access to recordings?
You can access your recordings, and a small group of Beam employees may also access them for account management purposes. All employees with access to recorded data undergo DBS checks and sign confidentiality agreements.
Does Beam hold any security certifications?
Beam is certified under Cyber Essentials Plus and ISO 27001.
Routine security assessments and penetration testing are conducted to identify and address vulnerabilities.
