This guide will show you how to find and play your Magic Note recordings and view their transcripts.
Quick step-by-step guide on how to view your transcript and audio file:
- Open the Magic Note you wish to view the transcript of
- Near the top of your page, directly under the title, you will see a purple box with the word 'Recording'
- Click on the purple button where it says 'Recording'. This will then show the recording and transcript of your meeting.

After opening your Magic Note, follow these steps:
Select the Recording: Look for the toolbar right below the title that says "1 Recording" (or more if you have added audio). Click this. This will take you to the "Recording & Transcript" section.
Play or Download:

- Play: On the next screen, you'll see the audio recording at the top. Just tap the play button to listen to it directly in Magic Notes.

Download: If your organisation allows it, you can download the audio recording file as an MP3 by tapping 'download'. It's currently not possible to download the transcript, however you can choose the print option within your internet browser options list and choose 'save as PDF'.
- Important: Always make sure you're following your council's information security and privacy policies before downloading.
View the Transcript: The full transcript is located right below the recording on the same page. You'll also see timestamps next to each speaker, so you know who was talking when.
You also have the option to download the audio (if feature granted), and copy the transcript by clicking on either of the options as shown below.
