How to Enable Notifications for the Beam Notes Desktop App (Windows)

Beam Notes uses Windows notifications to let you know when a recording is about to start or is currently in progress. If notifications are turned off or temporarily snoozed, you may not see these alerts.

This guide explains how to check your Windows notification settings, re-enable notifications if they've been disabled, and make sure Beam Notes notifications are visible.

Please follow these steps:

1. Open Start → Settings → System → Notifications.
2. Make sure the main Notifications toggle is switched On.
3. Scroll to Notifications from apps and other senders and select Beam.
4. Ensure Allow notifications, Show notification banners, and Show notifications in notification centre are all enabled.

5. If notifications still aren't appearing, check that Do not disturb is turned Off, or configure it to allow Beam Notes notifications.
