If you are seeing an error code such as AADSTS50105 when attempting to log into Beam Notes, this usually means that your account has not yet been granted permission to access Beam Notes within your organisation’s Single Sign-On (SSO) system.
This is managed internally by your organisation’s IT team, so unfortunately the Beam Support Team cannot grant access directly.
What should I do next?
Please contact your internal IT helpdesk or system administrator and ask them to review your access permissions for Beam Notes.
To make this easier, you can copy and send the email template below to your IT team:
Subject: Beam Notes Access Request
Hi IT Team,
I’m currently unable to access Beam Notes using my work account.
When attempting to log in, I receive a message indicating that my account does not currently have permission to access the application through our organisation’s Single Sign-On (SSO) system.
The Beam Support Team has advised that this is typically caused by the user not yet being assigned access to the application or the correct access group within the organisation’s identity provider.
Please could you review my account permissions and confirm whether I have been granted access to Beam Notes? The application may still appear under the previous name, “Magic Notes”.
My details are:
Name: [INSERT NAME]
Work email: [INSERT EMAIL ADDRESS]
If needed, I can also provide a screenshot of the message I am receiving.
Thank you for your help.
Kind regards,
[INSERT NAME]
If your IT team confirms that your account has already been granted access and you are still unable to log in, please contact the Beam Support Team and we will be happy to help you further.
