If your file seems to be stuck generating ("drafting your Beam Note"), it may be an issue with processing. Please review the list below to check if any of these apply to the files you’ve tried to upload:
File size: Documents over 100 pages may fail to process. We suggest splitting the document into smaller sections and uploading them separately. (There is no official limit to the number of files you can upload, but fewer files will take less time to process.)
Encryption: Encrypted or password-protected files cannot be uploaded.
File location: Files need to be saved locally on your device (not only in the cloud).
Images: Files with many images may fail to process (images of written documents, especially where the text is blurry, may also fail to be processed. It is important to make sure images are a good resolution. If they are blurry and very low resolution, the results may be inaccurate).
Quick Fixes
Here are a few simple steps that often resolve issues:
Split large documents into smaller files.
Save a fresh local copy of the file before uploading.
Remove or compress images if there are too many.

Once you have tried these fixes, please re-upload your file. You can do this in two ways:
Re-upload in a new note: Go back to the main landing page, where you will see all of the Beam Notes and Beam Documents you have created. From there, create a new Beam Documents and upload your files again.
Re-upload in the same note: Open the existing note and click the + Add more files button in the top left corner to upload your updated file.
