Some organisations have enabled SSO to allow you to login to your Magic Notes account without the need of a login code.
What is SSO?
Single Sign-On (SSO) is a way for you to access multiple applications with a single set of login credentials in this case. Think of SSO like a special, universal key. Instead of having a separate key for your office, another for your car, and a third for your house, imagine you have just one that opens all of them. In the digital world, your "master key" is your work login.
Here's how it works with Magic Notes:
- You try to log in to Magic Notes by entering your work email.
- If you are logged in to your work system it will log you straight into your Magic Notes account. It uses that existing verification to let you into your Magic Notes account as soon as you've entered your email address.
- If you are NOT logged in, you will be first prompted to log in to your organisations network before you get taken through to your Magic Notes account. This is because it doesn't know who you are yet and blocks you from accessing your account for security reasons.
Why do we use this?
- It's more secure: It means fewer passwords to remember (and potentially forget!). If your work account is secure, your Magic Notes account is secure too.
- It's easier for you: Once you're logged into your work system, you don't have to remember another separate password just for Magic Notes.
- It keeps things simple: It ties your access to Magic Notes directly to your official work identity.
So, what should you do if you can't log in?
The most common reason for being blocked is simply not being logged into your work system first.
Before you try to log into Magic Notes, make sure you are logged in to your work network. Once you're logged in there, try accessing Magic Notes again. It should work perfectly!
If you're still having trouble after logging into your work system, please contact your internal IT help desk.
