Magic Notes is becoming Beam Notes

Why we’re making the change

Magic Notes has been a crucial part of Beam’s journey. When we started out innovating in this space, seeing our products in action for the first time was magic to many of us.

Two years on, and two thirds of local authority social work teams are using our tool, at the centre of their everyday work. We’ve grown and flourished beyond a single note-taking product. 

As such, we’re clarifying our branding with simpler product names that cover the breadth of what our tools do.

• Beam Notes is the new name for Magic Notes, and incorporates the Reports functionality. 
• Beam Interpret allows partners to deliver services in any language instantly.
• Beam Talk is our automated call agent that can prioritise inbound calls and handle low‑risk conversations with ease. 

What’s actually changing, and when

• First, we’re updating the website design at Beam.org, and the style and colours of our application, at magicnotes.ai to match the new brand. All references to our products will start using Beam Notes instead of Magic Notes. This is happening from today.
• Next, we’ll transition away from the magicnotes.ai domain, with the application migrating to beam.org. We’re providing as much heads up as possible, to avoid disruption to how our partners use our products, and we expect the domain transition to happen in early Q3, 2026.
