A template is a list of instructions on how a summary should be produced by Magic Notes. Templates help structure your Magic Notes by summarising and organising your conversation into notes.
A template tells your Magic Note:
- Which headings and sections to use
- The order notes should appear in
- How much detail to include (short vs. detailed)
-
The language and formatting style (e.g. bullet points vs. prose)
There are two types of templates available:
- Bespoke Templates - Designed with your organisation to match internal report formats, making sure Magic Notes highlight whatโs most important.
-
General Summary - Automatically adapts to your conversation, grouping key themes into a clear summary.
How do I view my list of available Templates/Change templates?
To view your list of templates and change it, you'll need to be viewing a Magic Note you've already made. The process for viewing and changing templates for Magic Note recordings and Magic Reports is similar but different.
NOTE: you won't be able to view using the 'Onboarding' example Magic Note that you see when you login for the first time.
- Open Magic Note: Open and view the Magic Note you wish to change the template of.
-
Find which Template is currently being used: Below your note's title, and above the Magic Note summary, you'll see a table. This table will show you:
- Recording and transcript
- Template that is currently being used.
It will look something like this:
-
Click on the grey downward arrow: To the right of this row, you'll see a grey downwards arrow that will show a dropdown list. Click on the arrow to show your list of available templates.
- Choose New Template: Click the template you want to apply.
- Template Updated: When you select a new template, your Magic Note will re-write and the new template will be applied.
Top Tip: Select your template first, before adding any other content.
