The Manager Analytics dashboard provides a wide range of relevant data to help you easily drive adoption of Magic Notes within your organisation, either from looking at the dashboard or exporting raw data to CSV for use in Excel, etc. The dashboard is accessed by clicking on 'Manage' in your menu on the left hand side.
The Analytics feature is included here, with other tabs visible such as Inactive Users, Templates, Users and Teams, depending on role and administrator permissions within your organisation.
This page will help you understand what data is available and how you can use it to support your team.
Who has access to the Manager Analytics dashboard?
This page is only accessible by users within your organisation who are directly assigned as a manager of at least one team.
Managers will only be able to access analytics for teams that they are a manager of, so if you’re in a role such as project management then you will need to reach out to Support or your Customer Success Manager to get added as a manager of all.
What data is available in the new dashboard?
The data on the page can be filtered by time period or by team/individual and includes:
- High level overview of your stats for the selected time period (vs previous time period if relevant):
- Number of active users
- Number of recordings
- Hours recorded
- Usage by team - a simple visualisation of usage within teams, broken out into three statuses:
- Active - users who have made at least one Magic Note in the past month
- Dormant - users who have not made a Magic Note in the past month, often serving as a flag to check-in on them.
- Never used - users who have never made a Magic Note, often used by managers to understand any blockers to using Magic Notes.
- Usage by individual - a deeper understanding of how individuals are using Magic Notes, with each line representing a user’s activity for the selected time period.
Tip: This is often a great tool to identify ‘power users’ who might be able to share best practices amongst their colleagues, or those who might need a refresher training.
- Template usage - a visualisation of template usage for the chosen time period/team(s).
Tip: This is often used to identify specific templates that aren’t being used (e.g. people using ‘General Meeting’ because they weren’t aware of a specific template for their line of work.
- Average ratings - a visualisation of average star ratings on Magic Notes grouped by template for the chosen time period/team(s).
Tip: This can be useful to identify specific templates your organisation have that might benefit from a template iteration, based on gathered feedback from the relevant teams.
How can I export data from the page?
While the dashboard provides helpful visualisations and summaries, we know that having access to the raw data behind the scenes can be powerful. This is why we have created an ‘Download CSV’ button in the top right of the dashboard, allowing you to import into whatever analytics software you wish.
What data is available in the CSV download?
The CSV download will contain the following columns of data with each row representing an individual Magic Note:
- Created at (the timestamp of the Magic Note)
- User full name
- Team name (of that user)
- Template on Magic Note
- Note type ('Recording' or 'Report')
- Number of recordings on the Magic Note (usually, but not always, one)
- Total duration of all recordings on the Magic Note
- Average summary rating of the Magic Note
