Google Chrome Browser
If you're having trouble using your microphone in Magic Notes, it might be a permissions issue. Here's how to check and fix it in Google Chrome:
Step 1: Open Magic Notes

Open Google Chrome.

Go to the Magic Notes web app.
Step 2: Check Microphone Permissions in Chrome Settings

Click the three dots (â‹®) at the top right of Chrome.

Select Settings.
-
Go to Privacy and security on the left menu.

Click Site settings.

Under Permissions, click Microphone.

In the Recent Activity section, find Magic Notes (or search for it).

Click on Magic Notes.

Make sure Microphone is set to Allow.

If you don't see Magic Notes listed:

Under "Default behavior," ensure Sites can ask to use your microphone is selected.
Step 3: Refresh the Page

After changing the permission, refresh the Magic Notes page.

Try using the microphone again.
Step 4: How to Check Which Microphone is Selected
If you have multiple microphones (for example, a headset and a built-in mic):

Stay in Settings → Privacy and security → Site settings → Microphone.

At the top, you'll see a Default microphone dropdown.

Choose the correct microphone you want Chrome to use.

Refresh Magic Notes once you've selected the right one.
Microsoft Edge Browser
If Magic Notes can’t access your microphone in Microsoft Edge, you may need to adjust your permissions. Here’s how:
Step 1: Open Magic Notes

Open Microsoft Edge.

Go to the Magic Notes web app.
Step 2: Check Microphone Permissions in Edge Settings

Click the three dots (â‹®) at the top right of Edge.

Select Settings.

In the left-hand menu, choose Cookies and site permissions.

Scroll down and click on Microphone.

In the Recent Activity section, find Magic Notes (or search for it).

Click on Magic Notes.

Make sure Microphone is set to Allow.

If you don't see Magic Notes listed:

Make sure the option Ask before accessing (recommended) is turned On.
Step 3: Refresh the Page

After making changes, refresh the Magic Notes page.

Try using the microphone again.
Step 4: How to Check Which Microphone is Selected
If you have multiple microphones available:

In Settings → Cookies and site permissions → Microphone,

At the top, you'll see a dropdown for Default microphone.

Select the correct microphone (e.g., headset or external microphone).

Make sure your device microphone is not muted or disabled.

On Windows/Mac, check your operating system’s privacy settings to make sure the browser has permission to access the microphone.
